چکیده
Pretreated waste Streptomyces fradiae biomass was used as biosorbent to remove tetracycline (TC) from model aqueous solutions. The biosorption study conducted in a batch system evaluate the impact of initial pH, dosage, TC concentration and contact time. Langmuir, Freundlich Dubinin–Radushkevich (D–R) models were applied describe isotherm equilibrium studies. Langmuir fitted data better than D–R model. monolayer capacity pretreated for 38.61 mg g−1. experimental also tested terms kinetics using pseudo-first-order pseudo-second order models. results showed that process followed well pseudo-second-order kinetics.

Removal of Arsenic from an Aqueous Solution by Pretreated Waste Tea Fungal Biomass
Arsenic contamination in water poses a serious threat on human health. The tea fungus known as Kombucha is a waste produced during black tea fermentation. The objective of this study was to examine the main aspect of a possible strategy for the removal of arsenates employing tea fungal biomass. The pretreatment of biomass with FeCl3 was found to improve the biosorption efficiency. Arsenics upta...

Mercury is one of the most toxic heavy metals present in aquatic systems, exhibiting a complex behaviour in the environment, where it may persist for decades after the source of pollution is stopped. Hence, it is important develop new techniques for its removal from the aquatic systems. In this context, a particularly promising line of research is the use of new materials capable of up taking m...
متن کاملRemoval of Lead (II) Ions from Aqueous Solutions onto Activated Carbon Derived from Waste Biomass
The removal of lead (II) ions from aqueous solutions was carried out using an activated carbon prepared from a waste biomass. The effects of various parameters such as pH, contact time, initial concentration of lead (II) ions, and temperature on the adsorption process were investigated. Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS) analysis after adsorption reveals the accumulation of lead (II) io...
